Salmon filet 4-pack for 88.50 Krona.
The four similar-looking items further away, were chicken breasts basted on in different sauces. 20 Krona for one, or 30 Krona for 2. Tried them and 2 were quite filling. And tasty!
Sweet Baby Ray's! In Stockholm!
Another familiar label.
Subwat station. The only stop on this line for Sodermalm, the largest neighborhood in the city.
Ominous underpass from the hotel to the train station. This first one passes under a highway.
This is the view after emerging from the first underpass. The second underpass, up ahead, crosses beneath the train line.
The Barkarby train station, where my hotel is. The bus portion of the stop is off to the left. Probably 4-6 different bus routes use the stops to the left.
Travel info.
A little better view of the travle info. "Stockholm C" is Stockholm Central, the main train station for the city. It was 4 stops, or about 20 minutes from Barkarby.
A perfect panorama (no editing required) of the train platform and bus terminal area. Just not much to see.
In line for The Vasa Museum, looking back at The Nordiska Museum.
Exterior of The Vasa Museum. Why so tall? There's a warship inside.
Sweden's most popular museum.
The Vasa, pride of the Swedish Navy in 1628. Unfortunately, it sank on it's first trip out to sea. In 1957 it was found, and in 1961 it was raised.
A zoom into the ship's interior.
A view towards the back of the ship.
The ship's rudder.
The back end of the ship: elaborately-carved wood.
The display on the wall opposite the ship.
Low-light panoramic photo don't work too well at The Vasa Museum. I think this an attempt to get the back end in one photo.
The rear of the ship had an elevated deck to allow for muskets to be fired down upon the deck of another ship.
