Not a bad idea to see the perimeter wall, coastline, port, the towncenter of Visby, etc. Then hike the old town portion on foot.
The concrete impediment in the doorway is a ram seated on the ground. Used to herd cars and other vehicles. Not a bad way to prevent cars from parking on your lawn, etc.
