That's 10.2 miles roundtrip on this day!
Toilet seats and covers.
Where the local plumbers shop...
Washing of the hands and feet before entering the mosque.
Daredevils standing atop the edge of an old wall, posing for pictures with the city in their background.
Construction signage depicting the new building being erected.
Looking back at the daredevils atop the wall again. They're barely visible, but the photo is centered on the three of them posing at this moment.
That's a daredevil, just to the right of center, posing with arms stretched out from her sides.
Stairwell up the hill, painted in an array of colors.
Hotel name for reference purposes.
Another stairwell up the hill.
Discount fitness plan? Stairmaster extraordinaire?
This photo (and the next 5 as well) are ads for the various boat trips which leave from Kabatas. Conveniently, the tram through old town ends here, making for a quick, easy connection for tourists! Dolmabahce Palace is just a 5 minute walk from here.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! Did this on a later day, as they have horse-drawn carriage rides on Buyukada Island, which is known in English as Prince Island. One way costs 5 Turkish Lira, or $2.50 U.S. Takes 1 hour each way.
Vendors outside the Kabatas travel hub. Detail not done justice by the camera.
