The food at stop 4: minced fish with bread. Tasty.
The restaurant, with elaborate lighting.
The Food Tour over, now time to pass through Panama City's Carnaval celebration on the way back to the hotel.
The exit at the other end of the boulevard. Here, too, security forces were patting down would-be festival goers.
Back in the tour van (the next day) for a journey to Monkey Island, located in about the center of the canal (West to East).
Time to board the boat at a lake adjacent to The Panama Canal.
This is the guide's gear. I stole his spot because it was an open seat. It was a GREAT move, as to come are some good monkey pictures plus I took a couple of good monkey videos...
To his credit, the guide didn't insist on having his spot back. But really, shouldn't the guests have the best spots?
Under the bridge and out into the canal.
Don't recall why I took this at an angle.
The other boat got the monkies' attention first...
Sadly, no monkies came down to take the banana off the front of our bow. Plus, another boat arrived so we backed up.
The blue-roofed boat on the right is the additional boat which arrived. So we left to try another spot.
